RHCP debut funeral-themed video for single Brendan's Death Song

RHCP debut funeral-themed video for single Brendan's Death SongThe rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers have debuted the Marc Klasfeld-directed band supporting their most recent single "Brendan's Death Song", a powerful ballad which sings about Brendan Mullen, founder of infamous LA punk rock club The Masque. A long time friend of the band, Mullen is attributed with giving RHCP a start in the industry after hearing their demo tape in 1983. At the same time, helped give birth to The Go-Go's, X, The Weirdos and The Germs too.

The funeral-themed video was shot one month ago, in one day in New Orleans. Frontman Anthony Kiedis and his band mates are seen blending with a group of people, who attend a jazz funeral, and playing the song on the street. Despite the gloomy set, the four-piece group still deliver an energetic performance with a fiery backdrop toward the end of the clip.

The track marks the most heartbreaking moment off band's latest LP I'm With You which was released last year, August 2011.
