Red Hot Chili Peppers performance not so live at Super Bowl
The band performed at halftime with Bruno Mars and since, there has been controversy over their show. People could see that their guitars were not plugged in.
According to the band’s bassist, Flea, the NFL insisted that even though the vocals would be live, everything else would have to be pre-recorded.
“I understand the NFL''s stance on this, given they only have a few minutes to set up the stage, there a zillion things that could go wrong and ruin the sound for the folks watching in the stadium and the t.v. viewers. There was not any room for argument on this, the NFL does not want to risk their show being botched by bad sound, period,” said Flea
The Chili Peppers said that they have no regrets for doing it, they’re just grateful for the chance to perform alongside Bruno Mars and to the NFL for having them.
