Drinks without the syphon and loud blunts: Til We Pass Out by Raven FelixNot going to be critical about this at all. It's a fact that West Coast girls are loud and reckless. This is what this song is all about. An invitation to self-destruction. There's something fundamentally sad in consciously trying to hurry up time, instead of stopping it. While it would appear that drinking and smoking would catch the moment in a time bubble, the fact is that 'time flies when you're having fun'. Ergo, don't have fun, is the stoic's stand-point. Do whatever is more painful in life, read all the books you don't want to read, travel in all the wrong places, and time will render its ineluctable tick to near immobility.

But that's just the other side of time perceiving. The Raven Felix side? Somewhere in-between acceptance of futility and immolation, bringing the sand in the hourglass to a halt conveys loneliness and singularisation. Actually, this whole lost generation attitude has a certain distinction mark, a lone wolf at the top of a mountain kind of feeling. It's the ontological struggle of those who want more but don't have the heart and capability to obtain it.

And I said I wouldn't get critical.
