PSY's Gangnam Style is officially The Most-Watched Music Video on YouTube ever
South Korean rapper PSY's "Gangnam Style" has become YouTube's most viewed video of all time, surpassing Justin Bieber's video "Baby."
"#GangnamStyle just became the most watched video @YouTube!" Psy (real name: Park Jae-Sang) tweeted on Saturday. "#History."
On Saturday, November 24, "Gangnam Style" had been viewed 805 million times since its debut on YouTube July 15, 2012, while Justin Bieber's clip "Baby" had only 803 million views. YouTube announced this performance on its Trends blog.
The blog says the "velocity of popularity for PSY's outlandish video is unprecedented."
"Gangnam Style" already holds the title for "most liked" video in YouTube history with more than 2 million "likes," according to the Guinness Book of World Records, which officially recognized the achievement in September. Bieber's "Baby" received only 1.4 million LIkes and more than 3.1 million Dislikes.
"Gangnam Style" is currently at 806,283,968 views, while "Baby" has 804 million views.The most-watched list include Jennifer Lopez & Pitbull, Eminem & Rihanna, and LMFAO.
