The plaque was unveiled at The Garage (formerly Town & Country II) in Highbury, where the duo performed for the first time on the 18th of March, 1990.

The band is formed by the brothers Phil and Paul Hartnoll in 1989. They’re career initially lasted until 2004, but in 2009 the duo announced that they would be reforming and headlining The Big Chill, in addition to a number of other live shows in 2009.

The band's name was taken from Greater London's orbital motorway, the M25, a 117-mile motorway that almost encircles Greater London, England, in the United Kingdom.

Orbital became famous for their classic anthems, “Chime, Belfast”, “The Box” and “Satan”. The duo also achieved eight studio albums, two original score albums, three live session albums and four compilation albums including a Peel session. Their most popular album, Snivilisation, spent four weeks at #4 in the UK charts, selling 80,000 copies and was listed by Q magazine as one of The 25 Best Dance Albums Ever.

The two brothers also performed at the London 2012 Paralympics Games opening ceremony.
