One Direction Posts Video for Gunshot Victim
One Direction sent a message of support to a shooting victim.
Claire Davis, a 16-year-old high-school student, is currently in a coma after being shot in the head during an attack at Arapahoe High School, last week.
Since the attack Claire's friends have been sending “#Get1DtoClaire” messages on Twitter, in order to convince the popular boy band to visit the girl. This Thursday the One Direction members responded to their fans’ requests, and they wished the teenager a speedy recovery via a 13-second clip posted on YouTube.
“Hi, Claire. We hear you're a big fan and we just wanted to show you some love,” gushed the singer Liam Payne in the clip.
“What's happened to you is absolutely terrible and we can't bear thinking about it. So we just wanted to share some love with you. All our prayers with you and your family. Hope you get well soon,” Liam added.
This hasn’t been the first time the group sent this kind of video message to one of their fans. Last year Niall Horan recorded an 11-second clip for 15-year-old Melena Butera.
“[Your film was] absolutely incredible ... You're a massive fan we know,” Niall said. “All the love from the boys.”
