North Side Kings storm forth in the year 2001 with a lethal dose of classic hardcore that mandates that music once again must have a set of balls to gain worthy recognition.
North Side Kings hail from Arizona and have been formed from the ashes of Cause For Alarm. Singer/guitarist Danny Marianino played guitar for Cause For Alarm, while drummer Tony Scaglione has pounded away his percussionist skills with acts such as Sheer Terror, M.O.D., Cause For Alarm, Whiplash and even Slayer!
North Side Kings deliver catchy, hook-filled hardcore with enough sing-alongs and heartfelt chants that will leave you shadow boxing in the corner for hours. Loyalty, family, honor, friendship and the Italian-American heritage possessed by most of the band (exemplified in the classic track, “AZ Social Club”) are driving values represented by North Side Kings, and through their music they make it clear how serious they are about these things they hold dear.
In their short one year existence, North Side Kings has shared the stage with such diverse acts as Straight Faced, Kill Your Idols, Union 13, Eighteen Visions, V.O.D., U.S. Bombs and their friends in Clutch and Soulfly.
Their first full-length release, “This Thing Of Ours,” is a handbook to the old days when loyalty and honor shaped you into manhood, and most importantly, a time when you had to earn respect of your own.
The record is highlighted by guest guitar from contributor Gary Bennett of Kill Your Idols (on “Looking Out Again”), and more guest appearances by Dennis Welch of Sam The Butcher, and Luke Lanham of Mob 40’s!
