The American Dream Died, or so believe the guys from Agnostic FrontWe tend to agree with the guys on this line that named their new album. If you have a critical bone in your body, you'll see how men (we don't agree with euphemisms like "the government", or the "politicians") with power have the means to do the dirt that powerless men alike strive to do. We all have that rotten ego in us, we all say we want the best for others, but end up helping ourselves alone. Even helping our family before helping others is still an egotistic gesture. There needs to be moderation, and the guys from this hardcore punk slash trash band is militating for that exact reality. Moderation.

It's like a wise man put it. If you're a complete altruist and you tend solely to the life of others, then you jump into a flaming house to save all the people in it, but lose your life in the process.

Though their means of spreading the message (the music) have changed a bit since their Victim in Pain album, or even from their Epitaph Records days, the preferred themes seem to be the same: "talk is cheap", "I speak my mind if I don't like what I see", "I can't relate!". It's been their perennial struggle against the general flaw in the human soul: "starve the ego, feed the soul" goes the saying.

Did the American dream die? It's up to the listeners, I guess.
