One hit wonder OG Maco is making tidal waves with his EPs. 15 cipher revealed!Leader of pop art movement Andy Warhol's famous words from way back 1968 ("In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes") have today contrived to only 15 seconds! The post industrial society doesn't have time to wait. Even pleasures, who often used their wings so as to escape time's ravaging wrath, are now tortured on this numerological Procrustean bed. Andy Warhol, back then, prophesied (and might we say, with great preciseness) what industry would turn our society into.

Nowadays we're talking nanoseconds of fame. Songs talk about it. We talk about it in sports, almost everywhere, actually. And then here's artists like OG Maco that, by their own will, proclaim themselves evaders of the once 15 minutes of fame rule. Websites have misinterpreted his new EP, saying that the name, 15, has something to do with the number of songs the album has. Wherever you go online, next to that highlighted "OG Maco 15 EP" you'll have "but there are only 11 songs", so sheepishly continuing the news title. You need to listen to 15 seconds of that eponymous song to figure that he's talking about 15 seconds of fame, and not 15 tracks on the album.

The symbolism goes even further than that. The album's been aired yesterday, that's the 15th of February. It's his way of saying that he can schedule an EP (we all know how hard these are made - Gucci Mane and artists alike make a mouthful of an exception!), deliver it on time, and still make people listen to it for months in a row. Furthermore! Look at the album graphics. The man wrote down 15 on a notebook, using a marker, unsuspiciously leaving a wrist watch on the table that's pointing the same time as the dark screen behind him is: fifteen minutes past twelve. Not only did he have his 15 minutes/seconds of fame, but it's high noon, and he's still out there! The man beat the clocks. Again, this is a self proclaimed state! He's luring us into his trap. He wants us to prove him wrong!

Now, there are some tracks that might have downsides, but the man makes an overall good EP with no collabs whatsoever (except, of course, the help from Metro Boomin, TM88, Sledgren and Ducko McFli), with a message that's more than your usual 'keep it real, keep it 100, stay thuggin, keep grindin'. Those words don't really say anything about the grind itself! They're just words to the young'ns. Well, not anymore. Maco's elocution is educational, profound, unique in style (you can almost say that the second verses are sung by different people, and that's on every track!), damn, it's 100% poetic! Nobody can withdraw from the suction this guy's music has on the listener!
