This reminds me of Prince Myshkin's dilemma, in Dostoyevsky's novel "The Idiot". How to love two women in the same time? Can you love humanity, can you feel equal emotions towards each individual? Evan Blum asks himself the same thing. He doesn't want to "fall out of love", but he loves two girls (hence the title), and starts to question the integrity of his own feelings.
