UK’S Natalia Kills Revels in 'Trouble'
Fireball "dark pop" singer Natalia Kills comes out with her second album titled "Trouble" and following her 2011’s "Perfectionist".
The British singer released her record on September 2, 2013, onWill.i.am Music Group, Cherrytree Records and KonLive via Interscope Record. Her album is influenced by Pink, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Gwen Stefani and more "Trouble" is a "retrospective of her various life troubles" and is a busy electro-rock album, with heavy beats and "high-impact pop" as the singer said.
The album was produced by longtime collaborator Jeff Bhasker, Emile Haynie and Glass John.
"Problem" is the lead single from the album that was released on March 12, 2013, and "Saturday Night" is the second single which was released on July 2, 2013.
The trouble with "Trouble" comes when Kills attempts to dial it down and sound vulnerable. Although she works her vocal flaws to her advantage on the fragile, piano-based "Marlboro Lights," unconvincing efforts ("Daddy's Girl," "Devils Don't Fly," "Outta Time") sound like Kills is singing karaoke on a dare.
