Mumford and Sons team with British actor Idris Elba for new video Lover of the Light
British actor Idris Elba gets behind the camera for tthe English folk rock band Mumford and Sons' new music video entitled "Lover of the Light." The single is cut off from the band's second album, "Babel", which was released on September 25 in the U.S and Canada.
"But love the one you hold/ And I will be your gold/ To have and to hold/ A lover of the light," the band sing on the track.
The video was shot by Idris Elba in and around the Pembrokeshire countryside in Wales, where the actor also cast himself.
The band joked, "We are huge fans of Idris's work, as he's the most badass British actor since Richard Briers. So we trusted him. Talking to Idris and Dan (Cadan, scriptwriter) about making a video that we're not in made it a lot more fun. They wrote the treatment after our ale-infused conversation in a pub in London. What they directed we are proud to present," added the group.
