Music video: Monica and Brandy debuts full clip 'It All Belongs To Me'
The RnB divas Monica and Brandy teamed up for the music video in support of their latest ballad "It All Belongs To Me". The clip features the two singers crooning their verses along a hot guy until they leave him.
Reunited after 14 years since their duet hit "The Boy Is Mine", the girls' 2012 song is not about fighting over the same boy, but helping each other through both situations. "We're both in dysfunctional relationships," Brandy explained to Rolling Stone. "We're helping each other through both situations, it's sort of like a 'Thelma & Louise,' girl empowerment video." She and Monica tapped director Chris Robinson to work on the clip, while the song itself was produced by Rico Love.
While Brandy and Monica will include the song on their upcoming albums Two Eleven, respectively New Life, the first one is also busy doing collaborations with Drake, Frank Ocean, and Chris Brown amongst others. "I heard the song that Drake did and I loved it. I haven't recorded it yet but I'm looking forward to it because it's such a great melody and the beat is nice," Brandy latter explained.
