Mike Peters Leaves Big Country
On the 9th of November 2013, it was announced via the Big Country Facebook page that Mike Peters and the Big Country band have parted ways.
The Welsh musician, Michael "Mike" Leslie, best known as the lead singer of The Alarm, has recently announced via the Big Country Facebook page that he will leave the band, for which he had been handling vocal duties since 2010.
Mike started to collaborate with the band in 2011, when he had joined Big Country for their UK Tour. That August they released a single, titled “Another Country”, followed in April 2013 by an album The Journey.
With Peters gone, the band will consist of original member Bruce Watson on guitar and vocals, Mark Brzezicki, who joined shortly after the bands formation, on drums, Jamie Watson (2010- ) on guitars and Derek Forbes (2012 - ) on bass. It is unknown, at this time, who will handle lead vocals.
