Metta World Peace Unveils Tribute Song to Parents Professional basketball player turned musician, Metta World Peace, has just unveiled a new track.

Entitled “Thanks Mom, Thanks Dad,” Metta’s latest offering is a tribute to his parents, who have supported the sportsman/musician throughout his career.

“I have to thank my mom and dad for everything they been to me in my life. Outside of the butt whoppings, which were needed to keep me out of the streets, they were amazing parents. Now I definitely could have done without the fighting in the household and the separation, but I had a lot of great times.What would you do if you didn't have both your mom and dad in your life?” gushed Metta World Peace, whose real name is Ronald William Artest, Jr.
