The X Factor US winner Melanie Amaro debuts new single Don't Fail Me Now
We were just wondering when Melanie would debut some new music as it passed almost eight months since she was crowned as the big winner of first edition of The X Factor (US). Well, Melanie Amaro just released a brand new track "Don't Fail Me Now", produced by Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins.
The groovy track is pretty catchy, and features Melanie's powerful vocals, as expected: "I've paid my dues, I've paid the price/ I've prayed for you almost every night," she sings, "I've walked the longest road/ So don't fail me now, feet don't fail me now."
Despite the predictable lyrical content and pop track, Amaro's vocals are as strong as ever, proving why she won the talent show in the first place. Hopefully something of a contemporary RnB feel will come from the singer's debut album.
Amaro signed a $5 million record deal with Epic Records' head L.A. Reid after winning the first season of the U.S. version of "The X Factor". Reid once said that the Fort Lauderdale-born singer deserved the champion title of the singing contest as gushing, "She is a proven champion who is destined for success."
