Watch: Marina and the Diamonds' teaser 'Primadonna' off Electra HeartKaty Perry's producer, Dr Luke recently worked with young artist Marina And the Diamonds for her brand new single "Primadonna" which will feature on their upcoming album Electra Heart, due to release April 30th.

The track is actually an upbeat one, fun disco pop anthem completing perfectly with Marina's distinguished vocals which she first unveiled during some live sessions last week: "You say that I'm kinda difficult/ But it's always someone else's fault/ Got you wrapped around my finger, babe/ You can count on feeling misbehaved/ Primadonna girl,/ Would you do anything for me?/ Buy a big diamond ring for me?"

After tweeting the album cover and track list on March 1st, Marina has now revealed a video teaser for the upcoming single. The 16-second clip features the blonde beauty dancing in a ball room all alone, taking a ride in a cab through the town, or drinking cocktail in front of the camera. Watch it below.

Electra Heart is the follow up to Marina's top five debut album The Family Jewels. It is a huge leap forward for Marina and is set to be one of the most exciting pop releases of 2012. The record was written and recorded in London and LA over the last 18 months and features 12 brand new self-written tracks. Marina hand-picked a close group of collaborators to write and produce with including Dr Luke (Katy Perry), Rick Nowels (Madonna), Liam Howe (Sneaker Pimps) and Greg Kurstin (Lily Allen).

Marina says, "It's an Ode to dysfunctional love. I based the project around character types commonly found in love stories, film and theater, usually ones associated with power and control in love, as opposed to weakness or defeat. I guess it was a way of dealing with the embarrassment that, for the first time in my life, I got 'played'. Rejection is a universally embarrassing topic and Electra Heart is my response to that. It is a frank album."

Electra Heart - Track List: 'Bubblegum Bitch' 'Primadonna' 'Lies' 'Homewrecker' 'Starring Role' 'The State Of Dreaming' 'Power And Control' 'Living Dead' 'Teen Idle' 'Valley Of The Dolls' 'Hypocrates' 'Fear & Loathing'
