Linkin Park showcased scenes from the Abraham Lincoln thriller in Powerless videoAs we all are anxious to watch the Timur Bekmambetov-directed thriller Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, the alternative rock band Linkin Park are showing us some intense scenes in their newly premiere clip "Powerless" soundtrack single before the movie premiere.

Linkin Park's three-minute video shows the Chester Bennington-fronted rock band while on the stage performing the song, and tons of battle scenes from the movie appear in between the performance. In case you do not know the American history, 16th President Abraham Lincoln was not really a vampire hunter. Instead, the upcoming movie is based on the book by Seth Grahame-Smith, who also wrote the screenplay for the film. Starring actor Benjamin Walker as Lincoln, the president looks to avenge his mother after she is killed by something supernatural, leading to his life as a vampire hunter. Others in the cast include Dominic Cooper, Rufus Sewell and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

"Powerless" is also set to be played during the closing credits of the Benjamin Walker-starring movie. The song itself is lifted off Linkin Park's upcoming fifth album Living Things, which is due in the United States next week, on June 26.

As for Tim Burton co-produced thriller Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter will hit theaters nationwide on June 22. Watch Linkin Park's new clip below.
