New music: Lana Del Rey unveils new track Backfire

New music: Lana Del Rey unveils new track BackfireAfter teasing her fans with some new music "Big Bad Wolf", "Playing Dangerous" and "Afraid", the "Video Games" songstress Lana Del Rey has unveiled a brand new song. Titled "Backfire", the new track is a smooth ballad which is not said to be included on her future release, Paradise.

"I've been waiting on your love, baby, for too long now, too long now/ I thought that I could change you like the others, but I don't know how, don't know how" Lana sings.

Earlier this month (September 8), Del Rey revealed she suffered from an alcohol addiction when she was younger, and was sent to boarding school by her parents to get sober. Speaking to GQ, she said: "I was a big drinker at the time. I would drink every day. I would drink alone. I thought the whole concept was so fucking cool. A great deal of what I wrote on Born To Die is about these wilderness years."

"My parents were worried, I was worried. I knew it was a problem when I liked it more than I liked doing anything else. I was like, 'I'm fucked. I am totally fucked'."

The "Born To Die" singer drew heavy criticism, however, for posing naked on the cover of the same magazine. The singer was named as the magazine's woman of the year earlier this month (September 4) and is pictured alongside Tinie Tempah, Robbie Williams, Mad Men actor John Slattery and James Corden on the magazine's cover. However, all the men are dressed in suits, while Del Rey isn't wearing anything at all.

Del Rey is also currently appearing in a new advertising campaign for Swedish fashion brand H&M. Here's a short sneak peek to the H&M commercial featuring Lana, due to come out in full in two days, on September 19th. For the soundtrack, Lana sings a cover of Bobby Vinton's 1963 track "Blue Velvet".
