English glam musician Boy George covers Lana Del Rey's Video Games
Despite Lana Del Rey's awkward "SNL" debut performance, however, her "Video Games" became a viral hit, launching her into superstardom. Now, even legendary English singer Boy George is getting into the act.
The Culture Club musician has recently unveiled a music video with his cover of "Video Games" -- and he's added a bit of Nashville flair (sliding guitars!) to the songstress' sweeping love song. Great!
In this video, the '80s glam king's cover is accompanied by a romantic and vivid tale of two lovers, played by Angel Rose and Cesar Polini. The clip shows the couple enjoying happier times -- like riding a merry-go-round together, making out and getting ice cream -- while coming to the realization that they're only just that: memories.
Watching this, we must say that Boy George and Lana Del Rey make an interesting pairing. They are both obsessed with artifice and self-invention, both carrying big makeup bags, both weirdly iconic in their own ways.
Set the filming at an apparently abandoned British seaside resort town, the clip was directed by Mike Nicholls and you may take a look in here.

The singer and Odd Future affiliate stated in a post on his Tumblr that his first love was a man.
"If you are gay, black & gay or just cool you should buy Frank Ocean's album and show him that he did not elevate in vain!! I will!", BoyGeorge wrote.
