The 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards - winners list and more
The 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards crowned its winners last night, Sunday November 6th. Lady GaGa and Justin Bieber were among biggest winners as Mother Monster grabbed four trophies - Best Female, Best Song and Best Video for her "Born This Way" single, and Biggest Fans award. The Canadian pop singer, Bieber won Best Male and Best Pop.
Hayden Panettiere handed Lady GaGa her Best Female award. Wearing a bizarre Paco Rabanne ensemble, she took the stage and thanked everyone: "Thank you so much, I love you so much. I'm so grateful. I'm really smiling right now, but I know you can't tell." She beat other nominees as Adele, Beyonce Knowles, Jennifer Lopez and Katy Perry.
The awards-giving event, which took place in Belfast, Northern Ireland and was hosted by Selena Gomez named Bieber as Best Pop beating Mother Monster, Rihanna, Katy Perry and Britney Spears.
The other winners included Eminem - Best Hip Hop, Linkin Park - Best Rock, Katy - Best Live and Britney - Best North American Act. Mars and 30 Seconds also walked home with not just one but two awards. The former got Best New Act and <B>Best Push Act, while the latter received Best Alternative and Best World Stage.
