Is Gaga Losing Popularity?
Lady Gaga has recently split from her longtime manager, and the diva is afraid that this situation might affect her career.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 27-year old star ended the six-year collaborative relationship with Troy Carter due to 'creative differences'.
Radar Online also stated that this might affect the “Applause” singer’s career, as her latest album, ARTPOP, has been panned by critics. “Fans are fleeing by the thousands,” the website claims, citing a Los Angeles Times report.
According to Radar Online, 4,000 viewers clicked off the YouTube Music Awards channel when Gaga delivered an emotional performance of her new single, Dope.
“Her music hasn't evolved music. It falls short when it comes to one basic function: making an impression,” wrote the Entertainment Weekly Adam Markovitz of Gaga's latest LP. Another review from the London Evening Standard described the record as being 'feeble'.
Troy Carter started managing Gaga in 2007, and declared that he feels 'liberated' after parting ways with the star. Gaga on the other hand continues to heavily promote her new album, which was released on iTunes Monday night.
