La Sadies

La:Sadie’s was visual rock band from Japan formed by Kyo , (Kaoru), KISAKI, Die and Shinya that would later become DIR EN GREY.

Before La:Sadie’s formed, and Shinya, friends since high school, became members of the band (Haijin Kurobarazoku), alongside bassist KISAKI. The three members evetually left to form La:Sadie’s in December 1995 with guitarists (Shio) and Die. In early 1996, had left the band and was replaced by Charm guitarist . During their touring in Nagano, Japan, the members had met Toshiya who was the bassist of the band D†L, and at that time had become good friends. La:Sadie’s officially disbanded on January 15, 1997, and KISAKI then joined the band MIRAGE. It’s been rumored the break-up was due to KISAKI’s unwillingness to participate in the major label ambitions of the rest of the band.

After KISAKI had left the band, the remaining members still wished to continue but were without a bassist. became the leader of the band and they had eventually asked Toshiya, then the bassist of D†L, to join their band. He accepted and left D†L. Dir en grey was then formed on February 2, 1997, in Osaka, Japan. Ex-bassist KISAKI has since become a fixture of the indies visual rock scene in Japan, presiding over the labels Matina and presently UNDER-CODE, last active as a musician as bassist of Phantasmagoria.
