Kelly Osbourne Locked in a Padded Cell
Sharon Osbourne came up with a crazy idea in order to frighten her daughter, Kelly, off using drugs. The mom locked her daughter in a padded cell.
Sharon used this technique as a way of helping her daughter realize what her life could become if she didn't stop abusing her body.
Kelly had drug problems as a youngster and went through many therapy sessions to defeat the addiction.
“I've been to rehab seven times and to two mental institutions,” the 28-year-old star confessed to Cosmopolitan U.K.’s September number. “My mum even had me put in a padded cell once to scare me. But like a brat I just sat it out until she said, ‘Well, that's not going to work.’”
Apparently Sharon Osbourne’s cancer diagnosis determined Kelly to change her life.
“When I was 18, I was set to play Lindsay Lohan’s best friend in Freaky Friday. Then my mum got diagnosed with cancer,” the star remembered “I was faced with the choice of a career or spending what could have been the last days of my mother’s life with her."
So Kelly chose to drop her career and nurse her mom. “I said, ‘F**k you, career, hello, Mother.’ I became my mum’s nurse 24/7,” Kelly confessed. “I gave her injections and medicines when she had seizures. I even had a parking space at the hospital with my name on it. I thought I was going to lose her ' it was awful.”
She did the same thing for her father in 2003, after the quad accident that he was involved into.
