John Mayer released snippet of new single 'Shadow Days'
John Mayer recently teased his new song on his official Tumblr page. Yesterday, February 16th, Mayer released a snippet of his new single "Shadow Days", somehow it's a representative title for his music hiatus he's now closing after undergoing a throat surgery last year. The one-minute snippet also read a note: "Here's a clip of the first single off 'Born and Raised'. I'm excited to share the first bit of sound from the album... Been looking forward to a post like this since October 14, 2010, the first day I started writing this group of songs. Enjoy."
"Well I ain't no troublemaker/ And I never meant her harm," Mayer croons over the acoustic guitar tune, insisting he's no bad boy. "I'm a good man, with a good heart/ Had a tough time, got a rough start." Before the music fades, he repeats the line, "My shadow days are over." Give it a listen in here.
