Grammy Winner J.J. Cale dies of heart attack
US musician J.J. Cale has died at the age of 74.
According to Cale’s manager, the influential artist died of a heart attack on Friday July 26 at Scripps Hospital in La Jolla, CA.
The artist was best known for the hits 'After Midnight' and 'Cocaine', covered by Eric Clapton as well as 'Crazy Mama' and 'Call Me The Breeze' .
The last song he had recorded was the song 'Angel' from Eric Clapton’s recent Old Sock 'Old Sock' album.
