Jimmy Fallon joined "Saturday Night Live" as a featured player in the 98-99 season. In the 2000-01 season he became co-anchor of the show's "Weekend Update" segment opposite SNL head writer Tina Fey.
During his time on the show, he's performed memorable impressions including Adam Sandler, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, John Lennon, Howard Stern, and Dennis Miller. Additionally, his popular holiday-themed parodies of pop hits on "Weekend Update" have included musical impressions of Alanis Morissette, Eminem, Blink 182 and Counting Crows. In addition, Fallon performs as the Bostonian teen "Sully" opposite Rachel Dratch in the recurring "Sully and Denise" sketch and also as the condescending "Nick Burns, Your Company's Computer Guy." He is also has a new Character "Jarrett" from "Jarett's Room."
His first big movie gig was being an extra in the film "Father's Day," starring Robin Williams and Billy Crystal. Jimmy also stared in another film in 2000, called "The Entrepreneurs" (aka "Just One Look"). The film has never been released in theaters or on VHS and DVD. The future of this movie is unknown. Jimmy was also in the highly anticipated Cameron Crowe feature "Almost Famous" opposite Billy Crudup, Jason Lee, Frances McDormand and Kate Hudson in September 2000. Fallon also completed shooting the role as "Lt. Rice" in the Tom Hanks directed HBO miniseries "Band of Brothers" which was aired in September 2001.
The film he is currently working on in NYC is the Woody Allen film, called "Anything Else." It is schelduled to be released in 2003. In 1999, he released a book: "I Hate This Place: The Pessimist's Guide To Life" which he co-wrote with his sister Gloria. Other television appearances include "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," "Late Show with David Letterman", "The Oprah Winfrey Show", and "The Rosie O'Donnell Show." Born in Brooklyn and raised in Saugerties,NY(Upstate NY), James Thomas Fallon began his comedy career at 17 when he took the stage at a local club and won a "Best Impressionist" contest. On April 20, 2001, Jimmy Fallon headed to Philadelphia for Y100's Sonic Session. His "Sonic Session" was about a 30 minute performance which included some of his amazing impressions and his troll doll jingles. In November 2001, Y100 released a compilation CD which included his troll doll jingle. On June 7, 2001, Jimmy Fallon co-hosted the MTV Movie Awards with Kirsten Dunst. In October 2001, Jimmy included a song on MTV's TRL Christmas album. He added a punkish song called "Snowball." On August 29,2002, Jimmy hosted MTV's Video Music Awards in NYC. Fallon lives in New York City. His birthday is September 19, 1974. Currently, Jimmy's performance fee is $25,000-$35,000.
