Cole debuts the visuals in support of the title track of his debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story which was directed by Axel Laramee and Adam Roy. Telling the story of his career as a rap star Cole shares his travel through the World which was a struggle to success: "I put my heart and soul in this game, I'm feelin' drained/ Unappreciated, un-alleviated/ Tired of comin' up short, fuck abbreviated/ Want my whole name spelled out, my own pain spilled out/ No pain, no gain, I blow brains, Cobain/ Throw flames, Liu Kang, the coach ain't help out, so I call my own shots/ I'm David Blaine, I'm breakin' out of my own box, you stay the same".

Cole soared to No. 1 on Hot 200 with The Sideline Story last fall. Back then, he became the first solo act to top the list at first try since B.o.B did so with his 2010's B.o.B Presents The Adventures of Bobby Ray. Also, he scored the biggest bow for any act's debut chart effort since Nicki Minaj opened at No. 2 with "Pink Friday" (375,000).
