The Muffs Unveil “Whoop Dee Doo” LP
The Muffs are back with a new album!
Kim Shattuck, Ronnie Barnett and Roy McDonald, the three members that make up the Southern California based punk pop band, The Muffs, have released a new LP.
Entitled “Whoop Dee Doo,” the band’s offering comes after a ten years break, and it resembles a lot to their previous projects. Shattuck’s voice is barely touched by time, the group has not slowed down their attacks, and it seems that the three singers have also kept the same tune. “Whoop Dee Doo” contains twelve new tracks since the band’s latest release back in 2004.
Among the tracks included on the album are “Cheezy,” a record which would sound like a typical Muffs song if it were not for the harmonica that gives it a different touch; “Take A Take A Me,” a danceable track, courtesy of Barnett and McDonald’s rhythms; and “I Get It,” a track which highlights Ronnie Barnett vocal talent.
“Whoop Dee Doo” was released on the 29th of July. The tour dates will be announced soon.
