Shania Twain Released New Song 'Today (Is Your Day)'
Shania Twain has released her first new song in years, but the inspirational piano ballad 'Today (Is Your Day)' should sound familiar enough to her legion of fans. The country-pop superstar's new tune is the first song she's written on her own in six years which hit iTunes following the U.S. finale of her reality TV show Why Not? With Shania Twain.
'Today (Is Your Day)' is only the latest step in Twain's ongoing comeback. In recent months the notoriously private singer has opened up with a reality TV series and a revealing autobiography, she's got a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame and last week announced that she would return to the stage for a two-year residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas beginning in December 2012.
The entire song is both musically and lyrically lazy (goes the chorus: "Today is your day / And nothing can stand in your way / Today is your day / Everything's going your way / Today, Today, Today, Today") .
