Rihanna Confirms Shakira Duet
Rihanna has confirmed that she and the Latin diva, Shakira, will duet on a new single.
The Barbadian singer posted a photo on Instagram showing the name of the song , “Can't Remember to Forget You,” the release date, “01.13.14,” and two director chairs on which two names were legible written, “Shakira” and “Featuring Rihanna.” After posting the photo, the “Diamonds” singer added the following tweet, “One. Week. Countdown.”
The first person that surmised the possibility of a possible collaboration between the two divas was Pitbull. The rapper had wanted Rihanna to sing the hook on his song “Timber,” featuring Ke$ha, but the Barbadian singer declined the offer, say that she is too busy to work with him.
“That is an ironic situation there. The person we were looking at first to work on that record was actually Rihanna, and Rihanna had something she had to do with Shakira, so she wasn't able to work on our record,” Pitbull told radio show Kid Kraddick In The Morning.
We are anxiously waiting for the release day!
