Paul McCartney makes surprise gig at school in NYC
Students from Frank Sinatra School of the Arts in Astoria, Queens were surprised by Paul McCartney, who performed 13 songs including old songs on Wednesday afternoon.
'This beats going to class,' the singer told those in the audience.
Former The Beatles frontman, Paul McCartney also did a question and answer session for iHeartRadio with 400 students.
The session was hosted by Clear Channel Classic Rock WAXQ (Q104.3) radio presenter Jim Kerr, reports New York Daily News.
When one girl asked about the greatest lesson McCartney learned early on, he responded, “When we first started out, I was terrified of doing anything wrong on stage. But then I learned that people don’t mind. They actually kind of like it!”
The legendary singer is about to promote his upcoming album “New” on October 15 and the gig will air on the Clear Channel's Oldies, Classic Rock, Classic Hits, and AC stations at 9pm EST October 14.
