Tribute Track for the Ohio Players from Hi-Tek
The ‘70’s band Ohio Players had Leroy “Sugarfoot” Bonner as frontman. He passed away last year so fellow Ohio natives decided to put together a tribute song for him.
The track, appropriately called “Ohio Players”, brings together artists that apparently have very little in common. But Hi-Tek, Bow Wow, Krayzie Bone, and Bootsy Collins all represent the same city, Ohio, and that is enough to birth a memorable piece of music.
They put their talents together for this one, also sampling “Fire”, an original The Ohio Players song. See what you think of the end result:
