Metallica Reveals Film Soundtrack 'Through The Never'
Metallica released the soundtrack for the forthcoming 3D movie. The band announced on Monday that they will release “Metallica Through The Never (Music from the Motion Picture)” on September 23rd on their own label Blackened Recordings via Vertigo. The movie will highlight the band’s performances at Rexall Place in Edmonton and Rogers Arena in Vancouver.
"It's like three movies in one," James Hetfield told Billboard in May. "So there's a lot of different dynamics happening within this movie, and every time we go and see it and tweak here and there. It's like putting a song together -- only it's a little more expensive. It's pretty scary but it's been something on our radar for awhile. It's become more unique than we ever though it would."
The soundtrack is available for pre-order on iTunes and will be released on vinyl in both 33 1/3RPM and 45RPM versions.
The two-disc album features 16 songs and includes classic tracks like "For Whom the Bell Tolls" and "Master of Puppets”.
