Madonna joined by LMFAO, Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. at Super Bowl Halftime show
The "Material Girl" songstress Madonna delivered a 12.5 minutes at Super Bowl halftime show last night, February 5th in Indianopolis. She opened the live show - after the stage was set up in 7.5 minutes by 500 people - as a Roman warrior, joined by an army cavalry wearing a black and gold costume and delivered a dance routine in an Aztec-style.
Madonna has been joined on stage by various other acts. She first brought to the stage the boys from LMFAO which sang their smash hits "Party Rock Anthem" and "Sexy and I Know It", later Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. took the stage and performed their latest single "Give Me All Your Luvin'". Cee-Lo Green sang with Madonna two of her classic songs "Music" and "Like A Prayer". The duo were joined by a large choir for the grand finale.
During her performance of "Music" alongside LMFAO, the singer stumbled slightly, but continued with her act. Dressed up like an Egyptian warrior, M.I.A. wowed the Super Bowl XLVI audience with her middle finger shown at the end of her rap moments. Hours after the game, NBC issued a statement regarding her gesture in which they offered an apology: "We apologize for the inappropriate gesture that aired during halftime," said Christopher McCloskey, a spokesman for NBC.
As Madonna exited the stage in a cloud of smoke, the message World Peace appeared in lights of a fire. Watch their entire performance at Super Bowl halftime show in here.
