Rock singer Jack White makes his solo TV debut on SNL
The White Stripes former singer Jack White made his solo debut on television on Saturday, March 3rd during the US late night show "Saturday Night Live". Hosted by tv personality and actress Lindsay Lohan, the show featured the singer performing two songs off his upcoming solo debut Blunderbuss , followed by the White Stripes' heavy rock song "Sixteen Saltines." While accompanied for the backing vocals by singer Ruby Amanfu in his first set, Jack crooned "Love Interruption" over mild electric guitar riffs.
The appearance precedes White's debut solo live shows, which will take place at the end of this month in United States.
Jack White returns to the UK in the summer to play at Radio 1's Hackney Weekend on June 23-24, alongside Lana Del Rey and The Maccabees. Meanwhile, Blunderbuss(out April 24, Third Man/Columbia) is produced by the man himself and recorded at his Third Man Studio in Nashville.
