Dj JS-1 really putting it out for the fans! New album: It Is What It IsntHere we go! Another grand artist, master of the flow and of the scratches, member of the Rocksteady Crew, on tour with Rahzel for over a decade now. Like Apollo Brown, he is the current that drives artists like tidal waves, artists like limnic eruptions, volcanic - tsunami artists, like, and lemme mention just a few off this new 20 tracks album, Oc, Blacastan, Illa Ghee, Homeboy Sandman, Soul Khan, Esoteric, Murs, Fashawn, Professor X, Krs-One, Slaine, Truth. And I ain't even finished. But I'll leave you to it.

The mixtape, and this's a lil secret, can be found and downloaded on dopehood.se/mixtapes. A tautology over here, a paradox over there, even the mixtape says it is how it isn't. Like the famous line from A Simple Man goes, 'Accept the mystery'!

Here's a track I recommend. Remember how I said female rappers always did their thing under the shadow of male rappers? Trying to imitate them and forcing a sort of situs inversus. Well, in this song called 'Give A Damn', singers like Dynasty, Eternia and Sara Kana(nice one) deliver some shrill lyrics. Take a look at this:

'Lemme break it down for ya one time simply I don't give a damn about the name game I am not inspired by the fame or the dividends May put the pen to the page when I move to create when I got something to say, but until that day'

You don't create unless you have something to say. That's a schopenhauerian theme. Saying that they couldn't care less, but actually infusing the song with real meaning. They really do care, but their moral doesn't need to come as a dart. Now that's art.
