Demi Lovato Premieres 'Skyscraper' Music Video!
Demi Lovato premiered her 'Skyscraper' music video which features the 18-year-old singer dressed in white, standing in the middle of the barren Salt Flats desert while walking on broken glass scattered on the sandy road.
The video seems to be an artistic expression of Demi's troubled past and the heights & success she has yet to reach rather than a literal interpretation of the song's title. Talking about what she tries to bring in the song, she stated it was her cry for help and attempt to show what she has been through those months she spent in rehab. "Because I hadn't spoken to anyone about these issues," she explained. "And I hadn't gotten the help that I needed." So has completely put herself into this project, and made it amazing. We see moments when she struggles not to cry, when obviously is hurt.
'Skyscraper' was released in full on 12th July and soared to No. 1 on the digital song chart just in a matter of hours. It actually got positive responses from her fellow artists like Pete Wentz, Katy Perry, Selena Gomez, Ashley Tisdale, Kelly Clarkson, Jordin Sparks and one of the Kardashian sisters.
The music video was directed by Mark Pellington.
