Delta Rae premiered first song Fire off debut album Carry The Fire coming out June 19
Durham, North Carolina-based six-piece Delta Rae are set to hit the road in one day on June 1st with their summer tour, but still found time to premiere a new track from the Carry The Fire debut album. Titled "Fire", the song is a raw, guitar-fueled and very energetic one, that seems to have been inspired by singer's past experience with an ex-boyfriend.
Singer Brittany Holljes explained for Rolling Stone: "My ex had a bad habit of telling strangers about our relationship problems," she explains to Rolling Stone. "As a couple, we were doomed anyway, but his gossip was a final kick in the teeth. I started singing the song right after I broke it off, and though it's mostly just fury, the song also has an underlying 'I've got your number' quality. It's an anthem for ass-kicking."
Delta Rae's debut Carry the Fire will be released on June 19th, on Sire Records. Their supporting summer tour stars June 1st in Roanoke, Virgina at the Kirk Fest.
