Ice Cube Reveals Straight Outta Compton Biographical Film

Ice Cube Reveals Straight Outta Compton Biographical FilmIce Cube is determined to prove that his former rap group, N.W.A (Niggaz Wit Attitudes), was “the world’s dangerous group.”

The rapper-turned-actor will perform in Straight Outta Compton, a 2015 biographical picture which will tell the story “people don't know” about N.W.A.

The forthcoming biographical production focuses on the rapper-and-actor's former hip-hop band, which was also comprised of Dr. Dre and the late Eazy E. Although the N.W.A. group made musical history after the release of their 1988 album Straight Outta Compton, Ice insists the movie won't focus on music.

“We just tryin' to tell the story of the world's most dangerous group,” he told MTV News. “We're trying to tell aspects of our lives that people don't know about, people aren't privy to.”

We don’t have too many details about the motion pictures, since Ice refused to reveal script details, but we do know, from the rapper’s statements, that the group's native city takes on much narrative significance in the feature.

“The neighborhood influenced N.W.A, and then N.W.A influenced the neighborhood,” gushed Ice. “That's what we're trying to portray.”

Straight Outta Compton will be directed by the “Law Abiding Citizen” director, F. Gary Gray. Ice also confirmed that casting for the project will begin on January 8.

Ice Cube is currently promoting his and American comedian Kevin Hart's new buddy cop comedy Ride Along, which will be released later on this month.
