Hugh Jackman entertains Barack Obama
Hugh Jackman hosted the America’s annual holiday spectacular for US President Barack Obama on Sunday and welcomed the crowd during what he called a "time for warmth of family and friends". The event took place in Washington, D.C. and was called “Christmas in Washington”.
The show was attended by the First Family and included performances from Sheryl Crow, Anna Kendrick, Janelle Monáe, Train's Pat Monahan and the Backstreet Boys.
Backstreet Boys opened the show with a medley of their holiday tunes, including “Christmas Time” and “It's Christmas Time Again”.
Anna Kendrick sang “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”, while Pat belted out “Merry Christmas Baby” and Sheryl entertained the crowd with a rendition of “Please Come Home for Christmas”.
Janelle closed the show with “This Christmas” and was later joined by Hugh and the rest of the cast for a medley, which ended as everyone sang “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing”.
