Music video: Animated visuals released for Gotye's Save Me single

Music video: Animated visuals released for Gotye's Save Me singleAlt-rocker Gotye trades in the bodypaint from his VMA nominated "Somebody That I Used To Know" smash clip and single for an animated avatar in his newly premiered video for "Save Me". The snowbound animation creative video is a visual delight, blending hand-drawn animation with CGI, but we don't see this becoming anywhere near the parody machine his previous video was.

"Save Me" is lifted off his album Making Mirrors. In the video, which was "singlehandedly directed and animated by the fabulous Peter Lowey at Piepants Animation," notes the singer, we see an animated man attempt to put himself together, but only becomes whole once he meets his other half. In other news, Gotye (on his real name Wally De Backer) was recently forced to deny that he had comitted suicide after internet rumours reported his death. He more recently addressed suggestions that he was secretly a transexual and was previously a woman - rumours which he refused to deny.
