George Duke Passed Away
67-year-old Grammy Award winning jazz artist, George Duke, lost the battle with leukemia.
Duke died this Monday in Los Angels. The singer passed away, almost one year after his wife, Cornie. Cornie has died of cancer in July, 2012
Duke was a member of Frank Zappa & The Mothers Of Invention. The singer played in Michael Jackson’s 'Off The Wall' track , Miles Davis’s 'Tutu', and Phil Collins’s 'A Hot Night In Paris'.
Duke was also a well-known produce. He collaborated with Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, and Dionne Warwick. He is also remembered as being the one that composed the music for 'Karate Kid III'.
Rashid, George's son, has recently made the following declaration, 'The outpouring of love and support that we have received from my father's friends, fans and the entire music community has been overwhelming. Thank you all for your concern, prayers and support.'
