Fun. debuts short film look-alike video Some NightsFun. hit the battlefield in the visuals for their latest single "Some Nights" which premiered on MTV. The Anthony Mandler-directed video sees Nate Ruess and his bandmates perform the song in an open field in the middle of a gunfight between two camps of soldiers. produced by Jeff Bhasker, the song itself is taken from the band's studio album of the same name, Some Nights. The CD has been released since February and made its debut on Billboard Hot 200 at the third place.

The short film look-alike clip is metaphorical, representing the eternal struggle between two very similar, yet diametrically opposite, sides of frontman Nate Ruess's brain. "Some Nights" describes very well the inner battle he is facing on a daily (or nightly) basis: the challenge of trying to find a balance between wildly different desires, of giving in to basic instincts one moment, then attempting to walk the moral tightrope the next.

Its music video was released hot on heels of the band's live performance at MTV Movie Awards on June 3. They kicked off the show by playing their hit single "We Are Young" for the star-studded crowd inside the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles.
