For Felix began in the summer of 2002 while Bassist/Vocalist Dan Perea was visiting his old home on the east coast. A few weeks of jamming for fun with guitarist Whit Maull and drummer Jay Gelardi resulted in an 8 song demo, which was first released under the bands original name Still In Pieces. Things turned serious in the fall when Dan moved back to New Jersey permanently and the band's name was changed to For Felix.
The following months were spent writing songs, playing shows in NJ, PA, DE, and recording their debut album "Everyone's Got A Girlfriend" which was released April 29th, 2003 on 5 Star Records. The band also played at this years Skate and Surf Festival which featured other bands including Goldfinger, The Used, The Starting Line, Thrice, Coheed And Cambria, Andrew WK, Home Grown and many more amazing acts. It was at this show that For Felix introduced their fourth member, guitarist Pete Petrocelli.
In the coming months For Felix hopes to tour extensively to support their new album release and to reach new audiences in different parts of the country.
