Fatty Phew

Fatty Phew - 20 Up, 10 Down lyrics

rate me

What’s goin’ on man?

Two thousand and ten!

It’s been a crazy year for me man!

Lotta shit’s been going on

So uh, I thought I’d keep ya’s all up to date before I drop a mixtape on you

So this is my year so far

In O Ten, man, it started with a bang for me

Like the fireworks in the first seconds of January

I had my family, my girlfriend and a time apart

To figure out if we need each others hearts

And it worked, yeah, ‘cause I needed her memories

Eventually, planned on settling, forever be happy again

With the energy she gave back what I put onto an EP

Discovered in life that The Best Things Are Free

Me, Bogues and Ego made five tracks

For the fiends, I started getting that dream back

I had the launch set in my home town

National Hotel, yep you know the home ground

I packed out, played to a mashed crowd

Line down the street just to watch me rap now

I planned out another just for these motherfuckers

But I did my knee that week, and needed a reconstruction

I watched my ball team, me and my crutches

Basket Ball, couldn’t see how much I loved it

That throws all the shows out the door

Also throws all money down for the cause

I struggled, said I didn’t need any help

My beautiful girl made me see I couldn’t do it by myself (nah man)

Made me a heaven out of my hell

Right then I saw I didn’t need anyone else (no one)

In a strange way, life had never been better

Started planning out my future for the first time ever (yep)

Released another LP to this world

Get a job, buy a house and marry this girl

So I, started working, double is hard

Wouldn’t let it come apart

I sought nothing as hard

I have a dream, I won’t let it go

Felt refreshed to go, shot the clip for Yes And No

And once again people telling me I changed their life (man honestly)

Man that shit doesn’t have a price

That right there is the greatest sound to me

For the first time I see my family’s proud of me

My sister Kimberly and me had our pain yeah

But over the years we grew out to be great friends

My nephew moved from Bris-town to Vic man

And I saw I made him into a bigger fan than I am

I made life, my girl my fam and Hip-Hop

And everything for the first time is switched on

I made some new crew, along the way I’ve caused

Big Rosco, B Wiv Deece and more

I felt ready to go, ready to blow this rap shit

After the surgery I started a few classics

And that’s the mixtape, if you never knew

Best shit I’ve ever done, yep, it’s coming soon

I turned Twenty Seven this year and felt lonely

Waited for my girl to get back from over seas

She gave a present or two, you know your, typical thing

But I had a present for her, a diamond ring

It didn’t turn out that way

The day before our four years she said she wanted to go her own way

Once again, love made me sick

Can’t believe this holiday would be a one way trip

And now, man, shit is bad

It’s that on/off switch that all bitches have

I’ll never be negative, nup, that’s a promise

I’m just trying to live positive like Magic Johnson

So now it’s me again, me and my friends, me and my sheet again

Me and my beat again, me and my dream again, me and my knee again

I don’t see an end, I won’t stop ‘til I beat the best

It ain’t too late (nah man) ‘cause today’s a new day

Full steam on the mixtape, eighteen tracks in two days

Four exclusive for iTunes and your speakers

About fifteen verses for ten features

It’s been a crazy year, yet to be finished

I’m just hoping I’m getting something dope for Christmas

I’m happier than I’ve ever been, I ain’t fucking around

Playing to twenty up and only ten down man

So it’s been all good

Two thousand and ten!

It’s been a crazy fucking year

But the truth is, it’s been a dope year

Me and Ego making tracks

My family my friends

Word up to Deece for his studio

And so it’s been all good

The mitxtape’s coming real soon man

I’m happy about that

So I’m not done for the year

Peace!<br />
