Eric Benet releases Lil Wayne collaboration-track Redbone Girl. Listen
The R&B/soul crooner Eric Benet recently debuted an unexpected collaboration-track wth rapper Lil Wayne titled Redbone Girl. The track is actually an anthem performed by the two for the girl who appeared in their life. "I met a honey about a week ago/ I got a little but I need some more/ I ain't the only one to learn her curves/ Matter of fact, forget what you heard/ She's all, she's all that an more, oh yeah, Yes she is/ Her repetition ain't squeak and clean", Eric smoothly croons.
"Redbone Girl" is definitely a smooth groove, but Wayne's verse could have been left on the cutting room floor. This is that lazy Wayne that nobody but superfans can stand. Lines like "tighter than my leather pants" and "now she in love, like Faizooooooon" try their hardest to derail an otherwise decent song, but, fortunately for Benét, they are unsuccessful.
"Redbone Girl" is a fresh cut off Benet's upcoming sixth album The One set to hit the stores June 5th. Take a listen to the track below.
