Eddie Murphy has a reggae song out: Oh Ja Ja
Talking bout gettin' back into stand-up, gets into his second reggae track (the first one being that 'Red Light' with Snoop Lion), sung a few R&B songs back in the day, I swear, this man's a Vitruvian man, stretching out to as many arts in a spiritual depletion quest.
Out of the actors that also sing at time, we all know Joe Pesci, Jim Carrey, Steve Buscemi. Just kidding there, on the last part, he only sings a quick 'I got the whole world in my hands' in Conair. But let me remind you about Ice Cube, actor and rapper. He dropped a new song a couple of days back. 'Architect Of Gangsta Rap'.
Murphy's song is uplifting and inspiring, almost makes me wanna go back to Zion, but the only thing that bugged me was that political verse that went 'Police in the streets shootin' down black babies'. I know that's not a Michael Brown reference, right?
On January the 27th, the song 'Oh Ja Ja' will be available to buy, until then, check out his soundcloud and be sure to like and repost this VPAL Music produced song:
