DRILL187 is: (L to R) Jason Ussery.....(Guitars & Vox) Jason Lilley.....(Voice) Matt Frederick.....(Bass) Greg Evans.....(Drums)
"For 10 years I've waited for a band to have the same brain-numbing effect I felt the first time I heard Pantera's "Cowboys From Hell" album. Drill 187 is the most insane mix of everything that's missing from ROCK radio these days."
-----Craig "Bam-Bam" Stegall, (wrcq, wcxl, former program director wdcc)
Drill 187, a blistering four-piece that hails from Raleigh, NC, tempers aggression with melodic vocals and incomparable songwriting to create a unique sound in a world set upon by generic clones. This makes for a dynamic, heavy-hitting experience that has attracted a loyal fan base.
The band unleashed its first full-length album, The Faceless Majority, on September 3rd, 2002. With a national radio campaign and distribution in place, Drill 187 is set to catapult to the next level.
The Faceless Majority is a dozen tracks of furious riffing, pounding rhythms and searing vocals delivered by a four-man band destined to make a mark on the metal community, a perfect follow-up to an eponymous EP that already afforded the group critical acclaim and commercial success, selling nearly 3000 copies of the disc.
With endless ambition and a never-say-die attitude, Drill 187 is a band on the rise in 2003.
"The group comes across extremely tight and well rehearsed… (I) Hope to hear some good things from them in the near future."
------Ula Gehret, Metal Maniacs
"These guys could easily play Ozzfest or stand on the same stage as Metallica or Pantera any day of the week."
------Metal Sludge, (metal-sludge.com)
"A great metal band in the tradition of Metallica; solid and polished. All these guys really need now is exposure."
------Danger Boy, Rock 96.1 (Raleigh, NC)
