Destroyer 666

KK Warslut (guitar, vocals); Shrapnel (guitar); S. Berserker (bass); Mersus (drums)

Destroyer 666 is a fury of choatic, high speed thrashing metal mayhem. Beginning life as a solo excursion for former Bestial Warlust guitarist Warslut, who produced the first album single-handedly, the line up became solidified with the addition of Phil "Bullet Eater" Gresik (Bestial Warlust, Hobbs' Angel of Death) on bass and drummer Ballistic Howitzer (Gospel of the Horns). The much more complete second album strengthened the reputation established by the first, and a strong live presence, as well as a healthy interest from overseas, turned Destroyer 666 into one of the leaders of the local metal movement. The band spent considerable time in Europe in 2000 and then issued their third album, Phoenix Rising, which was recorded in mid-1999 with Deceiver on drums. Since then the band has issued a limited edition two-track EP as a three piece of Warslut, Shrapnel and Berserk on bass with Shane Rout from Abyssic Hate providing drums. Destroyer 666 is now attached to the Seasons of Mist label. Following their successful 2001 European tour with Immolation and Deranged, the band moved base to the Netherlands. Destroyer 666 released their fourth album in May 2002.
